A Very Important Day

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Independence Day is one of the most important days in World history. America truly is the land of the free. American freedom has brought the world unprecedented prosperity, innovation and life. American freedom has saved Europe from itself three times in the past 100 years. Not in conquest, but in sharing the fruits of liberty. Without American Independence in 1776 there would be no free Europe, there would be no free Japan or free Korea. There would be no independent Canada or Mexico. And the millions of immigrants fleeing overcrowded Europe would be under the heal of their old Fascist or Communist dictators. America is free and because America is free the rest of the world has a chance to be free too.

The Founding Fathers were a remarkable collection of men. Franklin, Jefferson, Adams, Henry and most of all Washington would be outstanding men in any society. The fact that they all appeared at the same time on the fringes of the British Empire can only be attributed to Divine Providence. Our life and freedom are the products of their great minds and great deeds.
