Thinking Ahead

The April occasional sale has not even started and I am already making my monthly resolution to be better prepared for next month's sale. Of course, this month will be different. I will have the hogs scrubbed long before the first Thursday in May. I will know exactly how each piece will fit into my space. And everything will be color coordinated and fantastically decorated. Bahhh -- it ain't going to happen.

April will be the first month that I can really get into assembling, sanding, painting and otherwise shabotaging pieces for the shop. The snow will be gone, even here on the tundra. However, I have taken a much bigger bite for May. The first weekend will be the monthly occasional sale at The Porch. The second weekend will be the grand opening of Gypsy Lea's in Sauk Rapids. And the third weekend will be the semi-annual sale at Kari's Red Barn just north of Maple Lake.

I have been accumulating inventory (and potential inventory) over the winter. Now I can try to execute three times the material for the 3 sales in May. I am excited about the opportunity and I'll be getting to these projects right away. Because we all know that this month will be different.

Oh yes indeedy, this month WILL be different. If we don't believe it then we should stop trying and that isn't going to happen here.
Can't wait to see the hogs all spiffed up.
