Thoughts on the Day Before Thanksgiving

Today is the heaviest travel day in the year. Airports are crowded, highways are jammed. So in honor of these travails, I present the following photo to show that things could be worse. (Especially if he is sitting on Thanksgiving dinner).

Milestones in Transportation

Me, I'm not traveling today. I will drive a few miles to Kris and Mike's for dinner tomorrow. The following photos are from my day at home.

Babe was impressed with our turkey. He sat next to the oven the entire time that it was cooking.

Swan butts. Out of the south facing windows.

Pileated woodpecker, which look impressively terradactyl-like to me. Out the west facing window in my office.

I'm driving to your house so I can see dinosaurs and swan butts for Thanksgiving. Sounds like the perfect thing to me!

AFTER that guy gets off my transportation...

Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with Mike and Kris!!! I'm sending you a great big "gobble-gobble" from Texas!

Golly gee - if I had know you were making a turkey, I would have had YOU make Thanksgiving dinner!! Apple pies just came out of the oven - banana bread next. The house smells wonderful!

RNC - Gobble-gobble to you too. You have an open invitation here on the tundra whether you arrive by air, duct tape mobile or even dead horse.

Ive, enjoyed your posts on Thanksgiving, Mr. Flannery. I think you have a pretty wise take on what to be thankful for in this day and time. Living in this country, and at this time has been fortunate for me, otherwise I would be looking down from the pearly gates. Modern medicine has brought me back from the dead. And having religious freedom is the upmost importance to me.
So blessings to you as you reflect on your life, enjoy the weekend, and take a well deserved nap.
