I went to an estate auction in Gaylord, MN today. The auction had been scheduled for outside, but with the sleet, rain, snow and 32* temperatures the auctioneer was able to reschedule it for the nearby American Legion club. The auction was better attended than I was expecting for a Monday morning, in the snow event. After the 1st 1/2 hour, I was certain that I was going to be shut out. But things changed, when they got to the 2nd group of furniture 3-4 hours into the auction, I started to score. I was able to fill the pick-up truck.
Six chairs and a drop leaf table, all 1950's blond oak, plus suitcases and lamps.
Dresser and matching vanity and stool, plus an upholstered chair.
Great bar table on heavy pedestal & base.
Home made table with 1 small drop leaf and drawer.
I also bought 2 crocks, a gooseneck lamp, a 1920's floor lamp, a metal stool, 2 leather suitcases, 2 "doctors bags", 2 table lamps and a couple boxes full of old games. Just what I wanted, more inventory. But a lot of pieces to play with for the next monthly sale.

Snow, sleet ~ what is this world coming to? I thought it was chilly today at 71 here in the sunshine state!!
Love seeing the gems you pick up at auctions. I haven't been to an auction in years and reading about your adventures makes me want to seek some out.
You get the neatest stuff ! I am a tad envious.
